Travelling to the Mall of Asia can be a challenge, especially with the large number of shoppers, employees and event-goers visiting every day. The Department of Transportation is set to make commuting more convenient with the opening of a new EDSA Busway stop at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
This new stop will have a test run from 22 to 30 September 2025. During this period, northbound buses on the EDSA Busway will begin picking up passengers directly from MOA. After the dry run, the stop will officially open for daily operations on 1 October 2025.

For many commuters, this development is a big relief. Instead of making long walks to another station, passengers can now board buses right at the Mall of Asia and head northbound along EDSA. This will be especially helpful for people working in the area, shoppers who need quick trips home and visitors heading to concerts or exhibitions at MOA Arena. The location also makes it easier for those travelling to and from the airport and other parts of Metro Manila.
Officials explained that the new stop is part of a larger plan to improve public transport, reduce congestion and provide better accessibility along EDSA. The Mall of Asia was chosen because of its strategic importance as one of the busiest destinations in the city.
The trial run will help the DOTr ensure smooth passenger flow, proper bus alignment and safety measures before the stop becomes fully operational. For regular busway users, this could lead to shorter travel times and more efficient connections across the metro.
Imagine finishing your shopping at MOA, watching a late-night film or attending a concert, and then stepping onto a bus that takes you straight to your next stop along EDSA. This is the type of convenience that the new busway stop aims to deliver.
The EDSA Busway has already changed the way many people travel in Metro Manila. With the addition of the Mall of Asia stop, the system continues to expand and improve. If you find yourself in Pasay during the test run, you could be among the first to try this new chapter in the city’s transport story.
