Even if you’ve explored the main cities of Vietnam, there’s a lot more to experience in this culturally rich country. Da Nang is one of the best places to visit in Vietnam, a coastal city emerging as a top tourist destination that sets itself apart from buzzy Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Magnificent bridges sweep across the city and beyond, from the gleaming Dragon Bridge to the giant hands of the Golden Bridge in Ba Na Hills. White-sand beaches on the coast promise a relaxing getaway; My Khe Beach is a local favourite, whether you’re planning to swim, surf, or just lounge on the sand.

Travelling with kids? Asia Park is an amusement park full of fun attractions that will keep the family entertained for the entire day. And of course, you’ll have to set aside a chunk of your itinerary to indulge in Vietnamese cuisine. If you have more time in the city, we recommend taking a day trip to Hoi An’s Ancient Town or the Marble Mountains, too.

There are very few things Celia won’t do for a good story, but her favourite ones always involve the beach, animals, or any type of outdoor activity. She’s been writing for as long as she can remember, and can usually be found typing away at home with her cute dogs at her feet. Away from work, she spends most of her time trying out every hobby she can get her hands on, from running to crocheting to baking (she’s pretty okay at most things that don't involve cooking).
