Sometimes we need a little TLC.
In the past four years, I’ve saved roughly ₱5,000 just by switching from a sanitary pad to a menstrual cup.
That also means I’ve avoided using more or less 1,200 sanitary napkins (I’d consume 24 pads per cycle). All in all, this would be equivalent to 4,800 plastic bags (one regular pad is comparable to four plastic bags), and 960,000 years of decomposition (each also takes up to 800 years to decompose, releasing harmful toxins while at it).
While I’m admittedly not a math person, I’m certainly a frugal eco-warrior hopeful with a regular heavy flow. So, in 2018, despite barely knowing anyone from the Philippines who used menstrual cups, I invested in my first one. To cut a long story short: My periods have changed for the better since then.
I could continue to wax poetic about my menstrual cup experience — you know what they say, most of us are evangelists to a fault — but instead, I’m here to help a girl out. If you’re on the hunt for the best menstrual cup in the Philippines, then look no further! Here are some of the most trusted local brands by Pinays like myself.

Overwhelmed with the myriad of menstrual cups in the Philippines? Try out the Sinaya Cup. As the first menstrual cup in the Philippines, it has served over 6,000 customers — including me — since 2015.
Sinaya Cup’s branding is as straightforward as can be: It lets users select either a small or large cup depending on their results from this size guide. After you purchase yours and find your cup too long for your cervix, you can simply cut the stem with the help of its layered guides.
A regular Sinaya Cup costs ₱1,199. It’s a reasonable price, mainly because the brand follows a buy-one-teach-one model: For each cup they sell, they educate one student about menstrual health.

Periods are no fun. But with a pretty cup, it can at least feel less excruciating. Bulan Cup comes in four bold colours: blue, pink, yellow, and black. The brand is also remarkably inclusive, measuring its sizes as Sizes 1, 2, and 3 instead of dwelling on the typical size labels.
Now for the technicalities: Bulan Cup is guaranteed BPA-free, made with the highest quality medical silicone. Some users find their products firm, which helps prevent the cup from leaking. However, those used to a soft cup might find the Bulan Cup uncomfortable. (We have different needs, after all! I prefer firmer cups as I find them easier to insert.)
On top of all these, I could also attest that the Bulan Cup team has excellent customer service. So if you’re hesitant to talk about periods with your peers but need someone to guide you, please consider supporting Bulan Cup: the team will be available to assist you even after your purchase.
Each Bulan Cup costs ₱940 and comes with a matching sterilising cup, storage pouch, instruction guide, and stickers.

Sporting a stunning sand colour, the Comfort Cup is one of the Philippines’ most popular entry-level menstrual cups. It costs ₱899 including the cup itself, a sterilising cup, and a cloth bag.
Compared to other cups, the Comfort Cup is known among the menstrual cup community for its softer body. While some like this, others find that the brand is prone to leakage. If you still want to give it a try but don’t want to risk tagos, you can purchase its Period Starter Bundle: It comes with a menstrual cup, sterilizing cup, and period panty. (Its period panties come in different styles, too!)
Looking for an affordable menstrual cup in the Philippines? Retailing for just ₱300, the Serene Cup is perhaps the cheapest one out there. It comes in various sizes, from extra small to large, and two colours — pink or clear.
Its newest variation is the Serene Cup Shorty, with the same manufacturer as LunaCup Korea. Users note that this version seems denser than its other variants but comfy and beginner-friendly nonetheless.
A random bonus: Serene Cup is distributed by Just Green PH, an eco-friendly brand that offers other sustainable items. If you’re jumpstarting your zero-waste journey, then make sure to purchase your menstrual cup from this one-stop shop!

Created by the first sustainable period company in the Philippines, Malaya Cup is a product under HER, a brand by Filipino licensed nurses and entrepreneurs. Aside from their pretty pink cups, HER also offers high-quality period panties, discs, and reusable pads. So if you’re open to exploring different period products, you can check them out.
What makes the Malaya Cup special is its extended grip marks, which assist users with easier insertion and removal. It also has a sculpted rim with air holes, which helps when you have to “pop” the cup before taking it out. Do note that some users may find this uncomfortable.

Funky patterns and loop designs are what Haliya Cup does best. Its striking pink and purple menstrual cups have handles that look like rings, making removals easier.
Each Haliya Cup costs ₱949 and comes with a pouch and a locally handmade cylinder hard box. True to its less-waste advocacy, the team also uses a plant-based compostable pouch for delivery.

Hoping to empower women through affordable period products, R/evolution offers inexpensive menstrual cups, discs, and other budget-friendly accessories without skimping on quality. Both its cups and discs are made of 100% medical grade silicone and are US FDA-approved.
Since it is relatively new to the Philippine market, R/evolution does not have the most reviews yet; nevertheless, some menstrual cup users have commended its menstrual discs, which are cheaper than other brands.
As of writing, you can get a R/evolution basic cup at just ₱330, its introductory price. It comes with a canvas pouch, box, satin silk scrunchie, and cleaning brush. All its products come in matte black, preventing noticeable blood stains or colour fades.
Can you imagine your best period ever? It might be hard to believe, but this is what Bessy Cup promises through its 100% medical-grade silicone menstrual cups.
Starting at ₱699, the basic Bessy Period Kit comes with a menstrual cup, a cloth pouch, and a period guide. You can also opt to purchase its complete kit to get its collapsible sterilising cup.
So what makes Shorty Bessy Cups special? The brand highlights these four elements: the pebble node (for cup location when in use); the flower grip (for easier removal); volume markings (for monitoring period blood); and air holes (for effective suction).
