Our favourite places to stay on this sleepy Cebu island.
We might be almost halfway through the year, but it’s never too late to start planning your 2023 trips. With revenge travel continuing to skyrocket, many Filipinos are going out of town (be it to local or foreign destinations) to live their most adventurous life. So, while you’re at it, why not show off your amazing content and possibly get cool travel-related prizes, too?
If this sounds like your jam, then we have news for you: ShopBack, Asia-Pacific’s leading shopping, rewards, and payments platform, recently launched the ShopBack Travel Club! It’s an influencer showdown and user content contest, where the winners will get a ton of exclusive travel perks as part of the “club.”
The TripZilla team had the opportunity to attend the launch last 23 May at the Draper Startup House in Makati. In between enjoying the food, cocktails, and increasingly competitive games, ShopBack gave media and personalities the lowdown on Travel Club. So, we’re here to give you all the details about this exciting campaign!
The campaign will start off with a showdown on 26 May 2023 in Boracay, where two groups of influencers will outdo each other with travel content. Aside from a free trip and perks, the winning influencers will also be the face of ShopBack’s travel campaign for the year.
Meanwhile, ShopBack users can join the contest through these easy steps:
Winners will be announced at an event at Glorietta from 17 to 18 Jun 2023 — just in time for ShopBack’s eighth birthday celebration! To learn more about the mechanics, click here.
The ShopBack Travel Club contest will be judged by pioneer travel influencer Patrice Averilla and official media partner, Tripzilla.ph. Winners will be determined based on the following criteria: 40% judges scores; 30% reach on Tiktok and Instagram reel views; and 30% likes, comments, and shares.
ShopBack continues to revolutionise the way users embark on their dream getaways by offering exclusive promotions, irresistible discounts, and huge cashback rewards. This campaign is the brand’s response to the ever-rising trend of revenge travel; as seen in the continued growth among ShopBack’s travel merchants this year alone.
For the contest, ShopBack users and content creators will get a chance to win these:
“Users are already enjoying great savings by earning cashback from our travel partners. One user even earned ₱99K in cashback from booking their travels through ShopBack [in 2022]! ShopBack Travel Club is our way of making things even more exciting and a showcase of our commitment to enabling users to have the best travel deals,” said Raenald de Jesus, Head of Marketing for ShopBack Philippines.
