Coffee lovers, get ready for a buzz. Rumours of Blue Bottle Coffee coming to Manila have been circulating for years, ever since a now-deleted Instagram account hinted at a potential launch back in 2020. Fans of the US-based specialty coffee roaster have been left wondering: could we finally see an official store in the Philippine capital?
Blue Bottle Coffee is no stranger to global expansion. Established in Oakland, California in 2002, it has grown to nearly 100 locations across the US and Asia, with cafés in Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, and Hong Kong. The brand is known for its precision-brewed coffee, premium beans, bottled and canned drinks, coffee equipment, and branded merchandise — making it a favourite for coffee aficionados worldwide.

So what are the chances of a Manila café? While no official announcement has been made on Blue Bottle’s verified channels, the brand’s growing presence in Asia suggests it’s a possibility. Even if a full café doesn’t arrive just yet, their beans and merchandise may soon be more accessible locally, either through resellers or pop-up events.
