There are many other beautiful places in the Philippines outside its capital, but these 5 destinations will let you enjoy weekend trips with great ease.

Bluey is officially coming to Manila. From July 31 to August 9, 2026, Bluey’s Big Play: The Stage Show will run at Newport Performing Arts Theater. This is the first time the Emmy-winning Aussie TV family will perform live in the Philippines.
The show has already been a hit worldwide, selling out in the UK, US, Canada, Singapore, South Africa, and more. Filipino fans can expect an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, music by Joff Bush, and the same lovable personalities that made Bluey a global sensation.
Original voices from the TV series return for the stage adaptation, including Melanie Zanetti as Mum and David McCormack as Dad. The story keeps the family-friendly energy the show is known for, with plenty of playful moments for kids and humour adults will enjoy.

Sophia Spinelli, VP of BBC Studios Asia, says Manila was chosen as the second Asian stop because Filipino families have embraced Bluey from the start. Producer Andrew Kay adds that the goal is to bring “the magic of Bluey” to Manila and create memorable experiences for both kids and parents.

Bluey has dominated screens worldwide since its 2018 debut. It has won multiple awards including a 2025 Logie for Best Children’s Program, a 2022 BAFTA Children’s Young People Award, six AACTA awards, and an International Emmy. In the Philippines, the series has been streaming on Disney+ since 2020, earning fans across ages.
This is more than just a stage show. It is a chance for families to see a beloved part of childhood come to life, make memories, and enjoy a performance that has been seen by millions globally. If your kids or you love Bluey, missing this is not an option.
