A new expressway connection could soon make travel between Cavite and key areas of Metro Manila faster and more convenient. The final segment of the CAVITEX C5 Link Expressway is expected to open by late March or early April 2026, according to tollway officials.
Once completed, the project will finally close the missing gap between existing sections of the expressway. This will give motorists a more direct route between CAVITEX and C5 Road, improving access to major business districts and travel hubs across southern Metro Manila.
For travellers heading to the airport, work, or weekend destinations, this could significantly reduce travel time.
The segment set to open soon is Segment 3B, a 2 kilometre stretch of road connecting previously separated sections of the expressway in Parañaque and Pasay.
Once operational, the CAVITEX C5 Link will function as a continuous route linking Cavite directly to C5 in Taguig. The toll road corridor also connects several key cities including Taguig, Pasay, Parañaque, and Las Piñas.
The goal of the project is to provide a faster and more efficient route between the western and eastern sides of Metro Manila.

One of the biggest benefits travellers may notice is the potential drop in travel time.
Authorities estimate that trips which previously took over an hour could be reduced to around 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
This could make it much easier for travellers coming from Cavite to reach destinations such as:
• Bonifacio Global City in Taguig
• NAIA airport areas
• Business districts in southern Metro Manila
For travellers catching flights or heading into the city for meetings or events, the shorter travel time could make trips far more predictable.
Officials are aiming to open the final segment before t;he Holy Week travel period, when traffic volumes typically increase as many people leave Metro Manila for vacations or family visits.
The expressway is expected to help ease congestion on major roads in southern Metro Manila by offering motorists an alternative route.

For many travellers from Cavite, getting into Metro Manila can often mean long and unpredictable journeys. The completion of the CAVITEX C5 Link Expressway could help create a more efficient gateway between Cavite and key parts of the metro.
It could also make it easier to reach airports, business districts, and major highways, making travel smoother for both commuters and travellers.
While the exact opening date has not yet been confirmed, the final segment is expected to start operating within the coming weeks. For many motorists and travellers, this new connection could soon become one of the most useful shortcuts in southern Metro Manila.
