Cork Elite BGC Opens Filipino Tasting Menu for Public Dining

If you have ever wandered around Bonifacio Global City, you will know it is filled with sleek restaurants and stylish bars that can make any foodie curious. At the top of the W Building sits a place that used to keep its doors shut to outsiders. This is Cork Elite, a members only wine bar and restaurant that has finally decided to open its main dining room to the public.

To mark the occasion, they have launched a Filipino tasting menu by Chef Gino Catalon. The line up highlights the richness of Filipino cuisine while adding a fine dining touch. It is a culinary journey that blends tradition with creativity, offering guests a unique way to experience familiar flavours in an elevated setting.

Why Cork Elite is special

Before this change, dining here required a membership. Now, the main dining room is accessible to non members, although private dining rooms and exclusive areas remain reserved for members. This shift makes Cork Elite one of the most exciting new dining destinations in BGC, while keeping its air of exclusivity intact.

The Filipino tasting menu

Guests can choose between two options. The five course menu is priced at ₱5,500 while the seven course menu is ₱6,500. For those who want the full experience, pairings are also available. A wine pairing is ₱2,500 while a cocktail pairing is ₱1,500.

The menu begins with warm pandan sourdough served with Davao honey and kesong puti, a comforting start with a familiar local flavour. This is followed by dishes such as prawn puff with annatto and tinapa mousse topped with caviar. Two different fish courses are included, one light and citrus forward with lato and pickled radish, and another richer with coconut emulsion, burnt onion oil, native garlic and a crisp cracker.

The line up continues with a lemongrass scented prawn, accented by fermented shrimp herbs and cilantro oil. A palate cleanser of fermented mango sorbet refreshes the taste buds before moving to the mains. These include native chicken in a dish inspired by sinigang and wagyu short ribs served with tinawon rice. Dessert is a playful nod to Filipino sorbetes, combining coconut panna cotta, miso caramel, pandan ice cream and pili nuts, with an extra surprise course from the chef.

Why it is worth a visit

Dining at Cork Elite is more than just a meal. Each course is presented with care, the pacing makes it feel like a journey, and the atmosphere retains the quiet elegance of an exclusive club. It is the kind of dining experience perfect for a special occasion, a memorable date night, or simply a treat after a long week.

When and how to book

The Filipino tasting menu is available from Monday to Saturday, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended since the restaurant has quickly become a buzzworthy spot in BGC.

Cork Elite is now giving more people a chance to enjoy what used to be an insiders only experience. With a Filipino tasting menu that celebrates local flavours in a fresh and refined way, it is a must try for anyone looking for a special dining destination in the city.
