Fly Now, Pay Later With PAL Without Credit or Debit Cards

One of the main perks of having a credit card is that when booking flights, you don’t have to pay for them in full all at once. But what if you simply don’t have that option, particularly when travelling with a carrier like Philippine Airlines (PAL)? The answer: Use a fly now, pay later with PAL.

The airline has partnered with First Digital Finance Corp. (FDFC), which operates the digital credit application, BillEase. It lets you book a flight at your convenience without worrying if you have the required travel funds at the moment. Instead, you can use BillEase’s instalment plan even when you don’t have a credit or debit card.

Once you have a booked flight, you can settle your payments via installment starting from the 15th or 30th day since the transaction. You can do this through any of the following channels: Coins.ph, GCash, linking to an online bank account, or bank deposit or online transfer. Partner banks include BDO, BPI, and Security Bank.

According to PAL’s Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing Oscar Reyes via GMA News Online, this initiative gives passengers of the airline more flexibility in flight booking. This is especially useful at a time when travel has become more expensive because of added costs associated with providing safe, convenient trips.
