Scheduled for 16–17 Nov 2024, Frozen in Concert will feature the Filharmonika Orchestra, a renowned Manila-based orchestra founded by Gerard Salonga. Led by conductor Mhaze Lim, the orchestra will perform Christophe Beck’s Grammy-nominated score live, perfectly synchronised with the animated film as it plays on the big screen. This unique film-concert experience allows fans to enjoy the iconic movie with the added dimension of live music, creating an immersive and unforgettable event.
Attendees can expect to sing along to beloved tracks like “Let It Go,” “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman,” and “Love Is an Open Door,” accompanied by the powerful sounds of a full orchestra. Whether you're a long-time Disney fan or experiencing Frozen for the first time, this event offers something special for everyone. The combination of live orchestration with the animated visuals promises to create a magical atmosphere that transports the audience straight into the heart of Arendelle.
This isn’t the first time the Filharmonika Orchestra has delved into the film-concert genre. Following their upcoming performance of Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert this September, the orchestra is quickly becoming known for these innovative events that blend cinema and live music. Frozen in Concert is poised to be another highlight, drawing Disney enthusiasts from all over Manila and beyond.
Tickets for Frozen in Concert will go on sale to the public starting September 12. However, for those eager to secure the best seats in the house, a limited pre-sale will be available from August 30 to September 1 through Film Concerts PH.
