Using the Tap to Pay feature is straightforward. Android users with NFC capable devices can activate Tap to Pay in the GCash app and agree to the terms and conditions. To complete a payment, simply hold your phone near a compatible payment terminal. There is no need for a physical card or PIN, which makes transactions faster and safer.
This feature is particularly useful for Filipino travellers. It not only offers convenience but also adds a layer of security, reducing the risk of carrying large amounts of cash or losing a card abroad. All payments are handled through the GCash app, making it easier to manage expenses while enjoying your trip.
GCash has also announced plans to extend Tap to Pay to iOS devices soon, so more users will be able to enjoy this feature.
Next time you travel, remember that your GCash app can now be your main travel companion. From shopping malls to local markets and from cafés to fine dining restaurants, you can pay quickly, securely, and without any hassle.
