Gordon Ramsay Just Opened Two New Restaurants In Cebu

A lechon burger? From Gordon Ramsay? Yes, it’s real! The famously loud British chef behind Hell’s Kitchen just opened two brand-new restaurants in Cebu, and he’s not playing it safe. He’s mixing Filipino favourites with bold global flavours, and the result is a one-of-a-kind dining experience that’s already making noise across Southeast Asia.

The two casual dining spots, Gordon Ramsay Street Burger and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, are now open at The Mactan Newtown in Lapu-Lapu City. This is the first time either brand has opened in the Philippines. In fact, the Cebu branch of Fish & Chips is the first outside the United States, while Street Burger marks its debut in Southeast Asia.

The star of the menu is “proudly Pinoy”. The Lechon Burger, made exclusively for the Cebu branch, stacks crispy chunks of Cebu lechon on top of a juicy smashed beef patty with jalapeños, pickled onions, and house-made sauce. It’s rich, smoky, spicy and unapologetically messy, just the way Filipinos like it.

But that’s just one of many flavour bombs. At Street Burger, diners can also try the O.G.R. Burger, the fiery Hell’s Kitchen Burger, fried chicken burgers, loaded dirty fries, wings, and creamy milkshakes like Sticky Toffee Pudding and Biscoff. Next door, Fish & Chips serves up deep-fried classics like cod, shrimp, chicken, and even lapu-lapu, paired with thick Koffman’s fries and sauces like Hellfire, Gordon’s Tartar, and Curry Mango. Takeaway boxes are available too, perfect for a beachside meal with a view.

Right next door, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips serves golden, deep-fried comfort food with bold flavours. Choose from cod, shrimp, chicken, lobster or even lapu-lapu, fried to crisp perfection and served with thick-cut Koffman’s fries. The dipping sauces are anything but basic. You can try Gordon’s Tartar, Curry Mango, or Hellfire if you like it hot.

The Fish & Chips menu also includes handheld favourites like the Fishwich, Shrimpwich, and Chickenwich, plus creamy shakes and takeout boxes perfect for beach picnics. Whether you’re craving British classics or just want something indulgent by the sea, this spot hits the mark

Why Cebu?

According to executive chef Ronnie Kimbugwe, Ramsay insisted the Cebu menu reflect local tastes. After tasting authentic Cebu lechon, the team decided to build a burger around it. It’s a bold tribute to Filipino flavour, made for Cebuanos but built to impress the world.

This isn’t just another celebrity restaurant launch. It shows how global food icons are starting to take Filipino cuisine seriously. For Gen Z and millennial Filipinos, it’s a proud moment as it puts Cebu firmly on the list of must-visit places in Southeast Asia!
