If you’ve been craving Manila’s top restaurant brands while living in or visiting Cebu, good news—The Moment Group is finally bringing its famous food concepts to SM City Cebu this June. And they’re not coming in quietly. They’re opening a full-on Moment Block, featuring five of their most popular brands all in one spot.
From Filipino comfort food to modern Japanese eats, burgers, cookies, and xiaolongbao, this is going to be one of the most exciting food launches Cebu has seen in a while. Here's everything you need to know about The Moment Group Cebu opening.
First up is Manam, opening on 18 June 2025. Known across Metro Manila for its bold and modern take on Filipino classics, Manam Cebu is expected to draw major crowds. Whether you're after their rich and tangy sinigang na beef short rib and watermelon, their crunchy crispy pancit palabok, or the viral ube + sago shake, this is the spot for Filipino comfort food done right.
It’s the perfect place for balikbayans, tourists, or even long-time locals who want a fresh take on beloved dishes.
Coming in next on 19 June is Ooma Cebu, a favourite for fans of Japanese food with a twist. Think aburi maki rolls, uni udon, and perfectly grilled hanger steak served with bold sauces and inventive plating.
If you’re used to Japanese cuisine being delicate and traditional, Ooma takes things in a more fun and flavour-packed direction. Ideal for sharing with your barkada or going all in on your own.
8Cuts Burgers, Manila’s cult-favourite burger joint, opens in SM City Cebu on 24 June. These aren’t your average patties. They're smashed, seared, and packed with flavour. Whether you go classic with their cheeseburger or try something heavier like the Bleu 2.0, this is the burger Cebu deserves.
And yes, the onion rings and house-made sauces are all part of the experience. If you’ve ever had 8Cuts in Manila, you know how satisfying it is—and now you don’t need a plane ticket to get your fix.
On the same day as 8Cuts, Mo’ Cookies Cebu will be opening too. These aren’t just cookies—they’re giant, palm-sized treats with crispy edges and gooey centres. Bestsellers like the chocolate chip, dark chocolate macadamia, and South Cotabato chocolate fudge are just some of the flavours to expect.
Perfect as an add-on to your 8Cuts meal or a sweet snack while exploring the mall.
The wait is over. Din Tai Fung Cebu officially opens on 25 June. This world-famous Taiwanese brand is known for its expertly pleated pork xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), fragrant pork chop fried rice, and a menu of thoughtfully made dim sum and mains.
With its reputation for quality and consistency, it’s no surprise Din Tai Fung has fans all over the world. Cebu now joins the list of cities lucky enough to have one.

The best part? All five restaurants will be located in close proximity, forming a Moment Block inside SM City Cebu. That means you can have Filipino food at Manam, sushi and maki at Ooma, a burger and rings at 8Cuts, cookies for dessert, and xiaolongbao to end the day—all in one visit.
This new restaurant hub is set to level up Cebu’s dining scene and make SM City Cebu a go-to destination for food lovers.
According to SM Supermalls President Steven T. Tan, this launch is all about “elevating the culinary scene in Cebu.” And honestly, with this lineup, it’s safe to say Cebu’s food landscape is about to change in a big way.
Whether you live in Cebu or you're planning a visit, this is your chance to enjoy Manila’s most beloved restaurant concepts—without flying out. From creative Pinoy comfort food to modern Japanese and legendary xiaolongbao, The Moment Group Cebu is bringing a diverse, delicious, and exciting experience to one of the busiest malls in the region.
So if you're making weekend plans or plotting your next food crawl, head to SM City Cebu this June and check out the Moment Block for yourself. Your tastebuds will thank you.
