Like with many of our comfort foods and drinks, consuming too much milk tea can cause more harm than good for your body. This comes from the fact that an average cup of this beverage is known to contain alarming amounts of sugar and calories, and very little nutritional value. That being said, why not opt for a healthy milk tea instead?
Located in BF Resort, Las Piñas, Kapatead Cafè + Bistro offers this option for milk tea lovers who also want to look after their well-being. Rather than regular milk tea you’ll find in most cafes and restaurants in the Philippines, what they have is totally guilt-free. More than that, each milk tea you buy from the store goes to a relevant cause.
Healthy milk tea with a cause
According to Kapatead Cafè + Bistro, they serve keto and dairy-free milk tea freshly brewed with authentic ingredients. If you’re lactose intolerant, for example, the shop allows the option to switch regular milk with almond milk, a plant-based beverage that’s lactose-free. The dairy-free milk tea contains black tea the store operators brew on their own. With pearls, it costs ₱175.
Opened in August 2021, the milk tea shop in Las Piñas also uses whole milk, which is high in healthy fats, for their keto milk tea. This variation comes with black tea and coffee jelly, and also costs ₱175 per cup. For add-ons, you can choose from cream puff, pearls, coffee jelly, and nata de coco upon ordering online. Each costs only ₱25.
In addition, Kapatead Cafè + Bistro sells classic, winter melon, and brown sugar milk tea. With pearls, each cup is available from ₱99 to ₱120, depending on the size. For this, the shop offers a Buy 1 Take 1 promo wherein for every milk tea cup you buy, they prepare one meal for families and frontliners. Indulge in healthy food and help people in need, indeed!
