If you’re into both K-pop and P-pop, there’s exciting news coming your way. A new K-pop boy group is about to make its debut, and it includes a Filipino member who’s already making waves in the local music scene.
The group is called AHOF, which stands for All-time Hall of Famer. This rising act is made up of nine members, and they are officially launching on 1 July 2025 with their debut mini album titled Who we are. One of its members is JL Gaspar, who many will recognise from the P-pop group PLUUS. Now, he is about to take things even further with a global debut in the world of K-pop.

AHOF’s line-up features members from different parts of Asia and beyond, giving the group a unique and international flair. JL is proudly representing the Philippines. He joins fellow members Steven from Australia and Korea, Zhang Shuaibo from China, Chih En from Taiwan, and Daisuke from Japan. Completing the group are five South Korean members, namely Park Ju-won, Seo Jeong-woo, Cha Woong-ki, and Park Han.
This diverse line-up is already attracting attention from K-pop fans around the world. Each member brings something different to the table, which makes AHOF one of the most anticipated groups to debut this year.

The debut mini album Who we are will officially be released on 1 July. But before that, AHOF has been building up excitement through a series of promotional teasers. Their first set of concept photos is already live on social media. More photos will be released on 20, 22, and 23 June, followed by the full tracklist reveal on 26 June. A teaser for the music video will come out on 30 June, just one day before the album launch.
This steady stream of content is keeping fans engaged, especially those looking forward to seeing more of JL’s journey as he enters the K-pop spotlight.
AHOF is not just a typical idol group. They were formed through Universe League, a survival show aired by South Korean broadcaster SBS. After competing with other trainees, the nine members secured their debut under F and F Entertainment, the same agency behind girl group UNIS. UNIS also features a Filipina-Korean member, which is another proud moment for fans from the Philippines.
Being part of an agency that is open to multicultural talent means AHOF is positioned for success, not just in Korea but across Asia and possibly the world.

Before stepping into the K-pop world, JL made his mark in the local music scene as a member of PLUUS, a P-pop boy group managed by SBTown. The group officially debuted in 2023 and gained popularity with tracks like Amigo, Shining star, My time, and Missing you. JL stood out for his vocal talent and stage presence, making him a natural choice for fans to root for.
Joining AHOF is a major milestone in JL’s career. The K-pop industry is known for its high standards, and for a Filipino artist to be chosen through a competitive survival show and debut alongside global talents speaks volumes about his skills and dedication.
JL’s debut with AHOF is more than just another K-pop debut. It represents a growing space for Filipino artists in the global music industry. Seeing a Pinoy talent rise through the ranks of Korean entertainment inspires pride and excitement, especially for fans who have been hoping for more representation in K-pop.
This debut also reflects the changing face of the music scene, where talent can shine regardless of background or nationality. For Filipino K-pop fans, it’s a moment worth celebrating.
