The much-anticipated LRT-1 Cavite Extension is finally here, offering a seamless way to skip the notorious Pasay-Parañaque traffic. This new addition to Metro Manila's transport system is already making waves for its convenience and accessibility. Commuters now have a better alternative to switching between multiple modes of transportation, and it gets even better—free rides are available!
Starting 18 Nov 2024, a Libreng Sakay service connects Ayala Malls Manila Bay to two of the newly opened LRT-1 stations: MIA Road Station and Redemptorist-Aseana Station. These modern jeepney rides operate every 30 minutes from 9am to 9pm, providing a hassle-free way to reach the new stations or return to the mall. The route takes you along D. Macapagal Boulevard and Seaside Drive in Pasay City, making it a scenic and efficient option for travellers.
It’s worth noting that this free ride service operates as a point-to-point (P2P) transit, so you’ll need to board and alight only at the designated stops. Whether you’re headed to shop, dine, or explore the area, this service ensures a quick and direct commute.
The LRT-1 Cavite Extension, which officially opened on 16 Nov 2024, adds 6.2 kilometres of new railway to the southern part of Metro Manila. The first phase includes five new stations: Redemptorist-Aseana, MIA Road, Asia World, Ninoy Aquino, and Dr. Santos. With trains running until 10pm on weekdays and 9.30pm on weekends and holidays, the extension promises a more reliable option for daily commuters and weekend explorers alike.
Conveniently located at the heart of Parañaque, Ayala Malls Manila Bay serves as a key starting point for these free rides. This modern shopping destination is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and until 10 p.m. on weekends, making it a perfect spot for last-minute shopping or dinner before heading home.

So why not take advantage of this convenient service? The holidays are here, and there’s no better time to explore, shop, and commute in style.
