Looking for a cheaper way to get around Metro Manila this month? You can ride the LRT 2 for just ₱1 per trip until 31 July 2026 through a limited time cashback promotion for eligible RCBC cardholders. It is a great way to save on your daily commute or enjoy a budget friendly day exploring the city.
Whether you are commuting to work, heading to university, meeting friends, or planning a day out around Metro Manila, this promotion can help you cut down on transport costs. If you qualify, claiming the promo is simple, but there are a few important details to know before you tap your card at the station.
Here's everything you need to know about the LRT 2 ₱1 fare promo.
The LRT 2 ₱1 fare promo is a special cashback offer available from 13 to 31 July 2026. Eligible passengers can enjoy train rides for an effective fare of just ₱1 when they use approved RCBC payment methods at LRT 2 stations.
Instead of paying ₱1 immediately, passengers will first be charged the regular train fare. The remaining amount will then be returned through cashback, reducing the final cost of the trip to just ₱1.

The promotion is open to passengers using any of the following payment methods:
RCBC Visa credit cards
RCBC Mastercard credit cards
RCBC MyDebit Mastercard
Google Pay linked to an eligible RCBC card
MySSS Card powered by RCBC DiskarTech with a verified account
If you have any of these payment methods, you can take advantage of the promo throughout the promotional period.
Claiming the discounted fare is quick and straightforward.
At any LRT 2 station, proceed to the designated Fast Lane. Tap your eligible RCBC credit card, RCBC debit card, Google Pay linked to your eligible RCBC card, or your MySSS Card when entering and exiting the station.
Your account will initially be charged the standard fare for your journey. Afterwards, the difference between the regular fare and the ₱1 promotional fare will be refunded through cashback.
Since the regular fare is charged first, make sure your debit card has enough available balance before travelling.
The cashback is not credited immediately after each trip. Instead, it will be processed according to the following schedule:
Trips made from 13 July to 20 July 2026 will receive cashback by 3 August 2026.
Trips made from 21 July to 31 July 2026 will receive cashback by 17 August 2026.
If you do not see the cashback straight away, there is no need to worry. It will be credited according to the official schedule.
Yes. The promotion covers up to eight successful transit trips per calendar day. This makes it useful not only for daily commuters, but also for travellers planning to visit several destinations across Metro Manila in one day.
The promo also showcases LRT 2's growing use of contactless payment technology. Eligible passengers no longer need to queue for a single journey ticket if they are using supported cards or mobile payment services.
This makes commuting faster and more convenient, especially for people who already prefer cashless transactions for shopping, dining, and travel.
If you have been thinking about exploring more of Metro Manila, this promotion is a great excuse to do so while spending less on transportation.
You can explore Cubao's shopping centres and cafés, discover local food spots near V. Mapa, visit museums and historic attractions close to Recto, or spend time around Katipunan's university district. With transport costing just ₱1 per eligible trip, planning a budget friendly day around Metro Manila becomes even easier.
