Flying from Manila to the United States with Philippine Airlines (PAL) has long been a convenient option for travellers heading to major cities like San Francisco and New York, thanks to the flag carrier’s direct routes. Beyond these gateways, PAL has also made it easier for travellers bound for other popular US destinations, including Seattle and Las Vegas, both known for their strong Filipino communities.
Through a partnership with Hawaiian Airlines, PAL passengers travelling to selected US cities can route their journey via Honolulu, Hawaii, turning what would normally be a simple transit into a more memorable stopover experience.

This arrangement allows eligible PAL passengers travelling between Manila and select US cities to enjoy a stopover in Honolulu before continuing their journey. For those flying round-trip on qualifying routes, the Hawaii stop presents an opportunity to experience the island’s culture, beaches, and food scene instead of simply passing through.
Depending on the fare and promotion available at the time of booking, travellers may be able to enjoy perks such as an overnight stay in Honolulu, with inclusions that can range from hotel accommodation and breakfast to land transfers and standard baggage allowance.

Entry requirements, health protocols, and transit rules for Hawaii and the US may change over time. Travellers flying via Honolulu are advised to review current regulations, including testing or documentation requirements, prior to departure.
Flight availability, stopover eligibility, and promotional inclusions are subject to fare rules and partner airline arrangements. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it is best to consult PAL’s official website, ticket offices, or customer service hotline.
