Free shows at the National Planetarium
Opening National Women’s Month with a bang, the National Museum of the Philippines announced this exciting news on 1 Mar 2020. As a national museum, the National Planetarium doesn’t charge for entrance. However, planetarium shows normally costs ₱50/head.
On their Twitter account, the National Museum released the schedule of shows for March 2020. According to this, there will be two planetarium shows on International Women’s Day. Hayabusa Back to Earth will be showing at 10am and 3.30pm; meanwhile, A Planet for Goldilocks will be showing at 2pm. The former is a story about the Japanese space probe that uncovers secrets of the solar system, while the latter is a documentary about the quest of scientists to find another habitable planet.
In January 2019, the National Planetarium reopened after it was closed for repair in 2017. It features Asia’s first-ever full-dome planetarium projector.
