Motorists using the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Connector should prepare for NLEX Connector toll hike starting 15 Oct 2024. The new rates, approved by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), mark the beginning of a staggered increase designed to cushion the impact on expressway users.

The revised toll rates are as follows:
Class 1 vehicles (cars, motorcycles): ₱119
Class 2 vehicles (buses, light trucks): ₱299
Class 3 vehicles (heavy trucks, large vehicles): ₱418
These rates cover the journey from Caloocan to Magsaysay Boulevard, and they reflect a significant jump from the previous discounted toll fees that were in place since the España to Magsaysay Boulevard section opened in October 2023. Before the increase, motorists paid ₱86 for Class 1, ₱215 for Class 2, and ₱302 for Class 3 vehicles.
The NLEX Connector, an eight-kilometre, four-lane elevated expressway, has been a major infrastructure project aimed at improving north-south connectivity within Metro Manila. Once fully completed, it will link the NLEX with the Skyway network, providing a vital route for motorists travelling across the city.
The project is divided into two sections:
The Caloocan to España section, which spans 5.15 kilometres, opened in March 2023. This stretch connects C3 Road in Caloocan with España Boulevard, passing through key areas like Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela.
The second section, España to Magsaysay Boulevard, opened in October 2023 and extends 2.75 kilometres. It aims to ease congestion in major thoroughfares like Aurora Boulevard and España, offering southern Manila motorists easier access to NLEX via the Ramon Magsaysay Interchange.
Though the two sections are operational, the final connection linking the NLEX Connector with the Skyway system near Sta. Mesa is still under construction. Once completed, this link will fully integrate the north and south of Metro Manila, making long-distance travel more efficient.

A standout feature of the NLEX Connector is its 24/7 barrier-free Electronic Toll Collection System, which allows RFID-equipped vehicles to pass without stopping. Motorists are reminded to ensure their Easytrip RFID accounts are properly funded to avoid delays.
With the staggered toll hike now in motion, drivers should expect additional increases as the NLEX Connector project approaches full completion.
