San Pablo is the smaller of two neighbouring islands, often referred to as the Twin Islands, with the other being San Pedro. It covers an area of about 82 hectares and is home to only 460 residents, based on the 2015 census. Because of its small population, the island has remained largely untouched, keeping its peaceful charm and raw natural surroundings.

Despite its size, San Pablo Island offers plenty of experiences for visitors who enjoy the outdoors. Whether you are staying for the day or planning an overnight trip, here are some of the best things to try.
The water here is incredibly clear, and it is ideal for a refreshing swim or a relaxing snorkelling session. You will see colourful coral, fish, starfish, and other marine life as soon as you dip below the surface.
Try Scuba Diving
San Pablo Island is also a good spot for scuba diving. While it is not a major diving destination, it has plenty of underwater beauty to explore. You may spot small reef sharks, crabs, and vibrant coral reefs, especially if you dive further out from the shore.
Set Up Camp on the Beach
There are no hotels or resorts on the island, so most travellers choose to camp. Bring a tent, enjoy the breeze, and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. It is a simple way to enjoy the island, especially if you are travelling with friends. Just remember to be responsible and avoid leaving any waste behind.
Enjoy Birdwatching and Nature Walks
Thanks to its untouched environment, San Pablo is a great place for spotting birds and other wildlife. You can walk along the shore or into the quieter parts of the island where you will see native species that are not usually found in busy urban areas.
Eat Freshly Caught Seafood
Seafood lovers will enjoy the chance to buy freshly caught fish and shellfish directly from the local community. There are also sari-sari shops on the island where you can buy basic supplies. However, it is still best to bring your own food and essentials if you plan to stay for more than a few hours.
Stargaze Under a Clear Night Sky
One of the best things about staying overnight is the chance to stargaze. Since there is no light pollution, the night sky here is incredibly clear. You can lie on the sand and enjoy the stars without any distractions from city lights.
