For many Filipinos who qualify, this extension means less paperwork when applying for a Korean visa. It also shows South Korea’s continued effort to make travel simpler for Filipinos, who remain one of its biggest visitor groups in Asia.
The extended simplified visa policy will remain in effect until 31 December 2026, giving eligible Filipinos more time to enjoy the lighter document requirements. If you are a professional, official, politician, or Gold cardholder planning to visit South Korea, check if you qualify before applying.
