Airbnb Launches Movie-Themed Rentals Inspired by ‘X-Men’, ‘The Incredibles’, & ‘Up’

Who’s up for the ultimate immersive staycation experience? Airbnb just unveiled its Icons programme, a collection of extraordinary vacation homes designed after beloved films and iconic celebrities. Picture waking up in the quaint, balloon-suspended house from Pixar’s Up,  lounging in the X-Mansion from the superhero film series X-Men, or creating your one-of-a-kind suit at Edna Mode’s chic and modern mansion!

A one-of-a-kind staycation awaits at these movie-themed Airbnbs

The Airbnb Icons programme takes travellers and vacationers alike on a journey into the world of some of the greatest icons across music, film, television, art, sports, and more! From the whimsical to the fantastical, each Icon features meticulously designed interiors, transporting you into a world you only get to see on the silver screen. 

As of writing, the programme’s launch features 11 initial experiences. These include a stay in the clock tower of Paris’ Musee d’Orsay, a night out with comedian Kevin Hart, a chance to stay in Prince’s Purple Rain house, and more. The best part? You can stay at one of the Icons for under ₱6,000 ($100) or for free; thus, ensuring that the experiences are accessible to travellers worldwide. 

Of course, it’s not just about the price! Airbnb has gone above and beyond to ensure that every detail of these iconic spaces is perfect. From the exact furniture used in the Up house to the comic-strip-style detailings in the X-Mansion to the exact colour of red used for The Incredibles’ super suits, every element has been carefully crafted to create an immersive experience like no other. 

To make these experiences a reality, Airbnb is awarding them to guests through a selection process. For a limited time, each Icon will be open for booking requests. Once selected, you will receive an invitation to book with a digital golden ticket via email. Moreover, you must complete the booking within 24 hours only.
