AirSWIFT Now Lets You Paradise Hop With Direct Flights to El Nido from Bohol

Attention, beach bums: You can now hop from one tropical paradise to the next with AirSWIFT’s direct flights to El Nido, Palawan from Panglao, Bohol!

TripZilla Philippines tagged along as AirSWIFT celebrated the new route’s inaugural flight last 25 Mar 2019. All those aboard received a warm welcome from both ports — Lio Airport in El Nido, Palawan and Bohol-Panglao International Airport.

Celebrating new flights to El Nido

A short programme delighted guests at the Bohol-Panglao International Airport, where a water salute, ribbon-cutting, and cake-cutting marked the airline’s milestone. AirSWIFT President and CEO Alfonso Javier D. Reyes also delivered the welcoming remarks, hailing Bohol and El Nido as “two of the top destinations in the Philippines.”

“We are delighted with the opportunity for AirSWIFT to offer connections between the top tourism spots in the country,” he added.

Representatives from the provincial and local governments of Bohol as well as the Department of Tourism also extended their congratulations through their welcome speeches.

Up to date, AirSWIFT is the only airline that flies directly to and from El Nido, which makes it a top choice for those who want to skip long connecting boat or bus rides. Getting to El Nido from Puerto Princesa, Palawan via bus or van will take about six hours. If you opt to fly to Coron, on the other hand, getting to El Nido will require you to embark on an eight-hour boat trip. So if it’s convenience you’re after, direct flights to El Nido would definitely be the most time-efficient and comfortable way of getting to the island.

Upon checking AirSWIFT flights from Bohol to El Nido, fare starts at ₱2950++ per way. Just keep in mind that AirSWIFT operates the El Nido-Bohol-El Nido route four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

The El Nido-Bohol trip takes about one hour and 20 minutes, with flights usually departing from El Nido mid-morning.
