Taguig’s Arca South is getting a new transport terminal, offering a much-needed solution for commuters facing challenges in the area. Currently, Taguig lacks adequate public transport options, especially when it comes to smaller, localised routes. Thankfully, with the Arca South Transport Terminal set to be operational by late 2025, better commuting options are on the horizon.

The upcoming two-hectare facility will cater to various forms of transportation, including buses, jeepneys, and tricycles. It will also provide amenities such as food kiosks, restrooms, and specialised facilities like those for persons with disabilities (PWD) and a breastfeeding room for mothers. These enhancements ensure that both comfort and convenience are top priorities for the commuting public.
In addition to its transport functions, the terminal will house the popular AANI Weekend Market. This relocation ensures that the market will continue serving the local community with a wide range of organic produce, fresh seafood, free-range poultry, and locally sourced goods. The AANI Market's integration into the transport terminal adds a layer of convenience for residents and visitors alike.
The Arca South Transport Terminal is part of Ayala Land’s broader effort to transform the former Food Terminal Inc. (FTI) site into a thriving business and lifestyle district similar to BGC. This 74-hectare estate, once known for its agricultural operations, is now being redeveloped as Arca South—a dynamic area that blends business, leisure, and community spaces.
This project isn’t the only major transport initiative in the works for Taguig. The Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange (TITX), a larger undertaking spanning over five hectares, will serve as a major transport hub for buses and public vehicles from the provinces. Also located in Arca South, the TITX will connect to both the FTI Station on the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) and the future Metro Manila Subway. Both of these major transport projects are expected to be operational by the end of the decade, providing improved connectivity for travellers in and around Taguig.

Ayala Land has emphasised that the Arca South Transport Terminal is a strategic solution designed to improve transport infrastructure while the larger TITX project progresses. Together, these developments promise to greatly enhance transportation options and ease the commute for residents and visitors alike in the years to come.
