Blinks, are you ready for BLACKPINK in your area?

A brand new documentary on the South Korean girl group, titled BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky, will be released worldwide on Netflix on 14 Oct 2020.

Charting the global rise of BLACKPINK, the documentary will feature exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage of the members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. From their trainee days to their massive success as superstars, the documentary will offer an honest look into the group’s trials and tribulations as K-pop idols.

Viewers will get to witness the recording process for their next album, as well as the tireless commitment and non-stop preparation the girls put into their music and concerts across the globe.

This documentary will also lead up to BLACKPINK’s record-breaking performance at Coachella, where they made history as the first K-pop girl group to rock the music festival’s stage in 2019.

BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky will be produced by RadicalMedia and directed by filmmaker Caroline Suh, who also directed the popular food docu-series Salt Fat Acid Heat

For BLACKPINK fans, the documentary is just another reason to celebrate this year. We’re talking, of course, about the group’s viral collaboration with Selena Gomez in the “Ice Cream” music video. As always, K-pop is the gift that just keeps on giving.
