The promise of new flavours beckons from Banawe.
Milk tea shops are everywhere in Manila! You see them in every mall, every corner, even every food delivery app. So the big question is do we really need another one? CHAGEE says yes! And honestly, maybe we do.
CHAGEE is not just a random brand. It already has more than 6,000 stores worldwide and has been winning tea fans across China, the US, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. Now it’s finally Manila’s turn. The first branches will open at SM North EDSA, Robinsons Galleria, and Venice Grand Canal Mall.
Here’s why it’s different. The drinks use real whole tea leaves and are brewed fresh. No fake flavours, no shortcuts. Their star is the BO·YA Jasmine Green Milk Tea, a floral drink that is creamy but still light. They also have oolong blends and even cold brew tea if you want something smoother and more refreshing. It’s the kind of menu that lets the tea shine, not just the sugar.

The stores themselves are also made for hanging out. Clean, minimalist, and stylish, but still with a nod to traditional tea culture. Think of it like coffee shop vibes, but made for tea people. A place where you can sip, chill, and maybe even take that perfect Instagram shot.

And if you’re planning to be there on opening weekend, 29 to 31 August, there are extra perks. You get a free upgrade to a Tear and Win Cup with luxury prizes hidden inside, plus a buy 1 take 1 deal on the BO·YA Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Da Hong Pao Milk Tea.

So yes, Manila already has too many milk tea shops. But this one feels different. It’s built on actual tea culture, not just hype. And with three big mall openings, you probably won’t miss it when it finally arrives.
So, do we need another milk tea shop? Maybe not. But do we need one that takes tea seriously? Definitely YES! And with CHAGEE opening first at SM North, Robinsons, and Venice Grand Canal, you will probably end up lining up anyway.
