Cinema ’76 Cafe: Enjoy Cinematic Al Fresco Dining at This QC Cafe

We don’t know about you, but one of the things we missed most about pre-pandemic times was going to the cinema. (The indoor type, not the outdoor drive-in ones.) Finally, two years into the pandemic, we can once again step inside a movie theatre with our fave snacks in hand and enjoy the latest films on the big screen.

For film buffs and coffee addicts out there, production powerhouse TBA Studios has put your favourites together, all rolled into one space: Cinema ’76 Cafe. This al fresco coffee shop is located on the third floor of Anonas LRT City Center, Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City. If you haven’t checked this sweet hangout spot yet, we highly recommend dropping by for brunch before your movie screening!

What to expect from Cinema ’76 Cafe

As its name suggests, this neighbourhood cafe is meant to be a cosy hideout for both film fanatics and coffee lovers. There, you can bask in the al fresco setting paired with the unique movie-themed decor. The walls showcase posters of popular TBA Studios film, while the plush “bench seating” is a nod to the signature couches at Cinema ’76 Film Society theatre in San Juan

Of course, the Cinema ’76 Cafe menu is also something to look forward to. It boasts a yummy selection of desserts, pastries, and drinks. Must-try items include their Popcorn Frappe, Chocolate Chip Banana Loaf, and Mango Cake! Fun fact: The last one is inspired by an iconic scene from the 2018 blockbuster Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.

While establishments like cafes and movie theatres are allowed to operate in full capacity, Cinema ’76 Cafe ensures its customers a safe lounging experience. They use an air sterilising and disinfecting machine all throughout the day. Additionally, their furniture, fixtures, and surfaces are also disinfected after every use.
