How to make DIY Jollibee gravy from home

In his now-viral Facebook post, John reveals his secret to making the famous fast-food condiment using ingredients you can find in your kitchen. And yes, according to John and those who tried it from the comments section, it really works!

Ingredients

  • Flour
  • Margarine
  • Knorr Beef Broth Cube
  • Water
  • Pepper

Recipe

  1. Fry the flour until brown in a pan. Set aside.
  2. Also in a pan, heat some margarine. Add the Knorr Beef Broth Cube and mix both ingredients well.
  3. Add the fried flour along with some water, then mix.
  4. Once the desired texture is achieved, add in pepper.
  5. Again, mix everything well and serve with your DIY Jollibee-style fried chicken or burger steak!

Note that the first two steps can be interchanged depending on which you’re more comfortable doing.

Also, you can adjust the rest of the ingredients and steps above depending on your preference. The same goes for the measurements. Some users also shared that you can use used oil from fried meat or butter instead of margarine, cornstarch instead of flour, and even adding oyster sauce, Nestlé Cream, or Alaska Milk.
