You don’t have to spend a single peso to enjoy Manila because there are many things you can absolutely do for free!

Admit it, not everyone who loves books knows how to take care of them. Most book lovers still struggle with covering their books with rolls of plastic and tape, often ending up with bubbles or crooked edges. However, you might be able to skip that chore entirely.
The popular bookstore Fully Booked has confirmed that they provide a complimentary book jacket service for their customers. This means you can walk out of the shop with your new titles already protected from spills and fingerprints.

To get your books covered, you simply need to ask the staff at the branch where you bought them. While the service is free, there are a few simple requirements you need to follow to avail of the perk:
Keep the original price tag attached to the book.
Present your receipt as proof of purchase if the tag has been removed.
Ensure the books were purchased directly from a Fully Booked branch or their online store.
This is not just for people shopping at physical malls. If you prefer to order your books through their website, you can still get the same protection. When you place an online order, leave a note in the remarks section requesting the plastic jackets. The staff will wrap them before they ship the parcel to your house.

Beyond the plastic covers, the bookstore also helps with gift preparation. If you are buying a present for a friend, you can save time at the wrapping station. When you purchase a book and a piece of gift wrap from their store, the staff will wrap the item for you at no extra cost.
These services are not actually new. Fully Booked started offering these benefits shortly after they opened their first branch in 2003. Even though the shop has grown significantly since then, they have maintained these small perks to help readers keep their collections in good condition.

For many Filipino readers, books are an investment that needs to stay in pristine condition for years. Using a plastic jacket is the most basic way to ensure your pages do not get damaged during your daily commute or while sitting on a shelf. Taking advantage of this in-store service saves you both the money spent on materials and the effort of measuring and cutting plastic yourself.
Visit your nearest Fully Booked branch in the Philippines or check their online store to get free plastic covering for your next book purchase.
