There are many other beautiful places in the Philippines outside its capital, but these 5 destinations will let you enjoy weekend trips with great ease.

During the lockdown era, people were doing all sorts of coping mechanisms. Some doomscrolled, some committed to Chloe Ting workouts, some made dalgona coffees. Me? I bingewatched and binge-ate like a piglet being fattened in the farm. One of my favourite series during that time was 2gether The Series. It was actually my first time watching a BL series, and honestly, I don’t regret it at all.

The show follows Tine (played by Win Metawin) and Sarawat (played by Bright Vachirawit). Their chemistry was undeniable and the campus romance kept me hooked from the first episode. Not gonna lie, some scenes were heart-fluttering and made me smile like an idiot. The memes and training montages and cute moments made it impossible not to get drawn in. I remember them releasing the Jersey Shirt merch and fans went CRAZY and sold it out immediately. And here’s the best part for fans who want to take it a step further. You can actually visit the school where it was filmed! Yes, and it’s in Huachiew Chalermprakiet University in Thailand, the very campus where Sarawat and Tine’s story came to life!

How to get there

Getting to Huachiew Chalermprakiet University is easier than you might think. If you’re coming from Bangkok city centre, start with the Blue Line MRT to Sukhumvit Station. Then transfer to the Green Line BTS at Asok Station and head toward Udom Suk Station. From there, a short Bolt ride (that’s much cheaper than Grab as per my friend who went) will take you straight to the university gates for around 120 baht which is around 200 in Philippine pesos. All in all, a round trip including the trains shouldn’t go over 500 baht and that is no less than 900 pesos.
Weekdays are the best time to visit. The campus is quiet, mostly students going about their day, which makes it perfect for exploring all the filming spots without dealing with crowds.

What to do inside

Once you’re inside, the campus is basically a 2gether playground. There’s an Amazon Cafe if you want a coffee break or a snack, but the real highlight is the map of all the filming spots that the university gives to visitors. Fans can follow it to see the red brick buildings where the classroom scenes happened and the soccer field where Sarawat spent most of his training montages. Every corner has a little BL energy, making it a dream for photo ops and fangirling alike.

Entry is simple. Just go to the information desk, show a valid ID, and pay a small fee of 100 to 150 baht (170-270 PHP). No forms, no complicated permits, just straight-up access to the campus and all its iconic spots.
