Fun fact: The year 2021 marks the 500th anniversary of Spanish navigator Ferdinand Magellan’s first contact with the Philippines — an event that opened the country to the world. In celebration of this, along with the aim to revive tourism in Cebu, a group of Department of Tourism-accredited hotels has put together an initiative entitled I Love Cebu.
From 21 Mar to 30 Apr 2021, you can book deals of up to 70% off at the I Love Cebu Online Travel Sale. Through their online service platform, I Love Cebu will offer the best accommodations, as well as transportation and tour packages, that will highlight the unique selling points of Cebu.
A total of 60 establishments, 18 tour operators, and 42 hotels and resorts are participating in the online travel sale, including BE Hotels & Resorts, Bluewater Resorts, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan, Bai Hotel, Bayfront Hotel Cebu, and Marco Polo Plaza. Available tours and activities will also include the famous guitar-making in Lapu-Lapu; getting a taste of lechon in Talisay and mouth-watering chicharon in Carcar; trips to the province’s farm resorts and urban city beaches; and getting to enjoy both sun and sea from north to south — a great way to jumpstart and revitalise tourism in Cebu!
Note: All vouchers bought from the I love Cebu Online Sale are valid for a minimum of one year with unlimited rebooking.
Those who have secured a hotel booking through the I Love Cebu Online Sale only need to secure the following tourist requirements.
No need to present travel authority, negative RT-PCR test, medical certificates, and other travel documents. Travellers will be granted entry as long as they pass the symptoms screening from departure and arrival airport.

According to DOT 7 Senior Tourism Operations Officer Riza Marie Macaibay, an even more beautiful Cebu awaits travellers. “The closure of tourism activities for many months allowed not only the seas but as well as the natural attractions in the province to take a breather. Dolphins can be spotted frolicking off the waters of Moalboal early in the morning close from the shore,” she said.
