How to visit La Palmera Mountain Range

Named after a palm plantation, the La Palmera Mountain Ridge lies in the landlocked town of Columbio in Sultan Kudarat. To get there, you can ride a habal-habal from Marbel 1 Elementary School (₱150) from Koronadal City. The ride will take about an hour and a half from Koronadal to Poblacion, Columbio.

From Poblacion, you will have to pass through eight kilometres of palm plantations and a river to finally arrive at the La Palmera Mountain Ridge. Thus, the traveller’s philosophy: The journey may be long, but it’s all worth it.

To preserve its serenity, the local government regulates visitors. Upon entry, tourists must pay a ₱50 environmental fee.

Other places to visit in Columbio, Sultan Kudarat

Aside from the La Palmera Mountain Range, many other hidden gems are tucked in Columbio, Sultan Kudarat. One of its most prized treasures is the Fetam Klego, a serene underground river in Barangay Sinapulan that poses grand waterfalls and majestic views. More natural wonders dot Columbio, like the Tabong Falls in Barangay Upper Lomoyon and the Bansiung Falls in Barangays Telafas and Datablao.

If Disney were creative enough to let Mulan and Melody procreate, Danielle would be that child. From an early age, she has dreamt of becoming a purposeful revolutionary... and an unruly mermaid. While Danielle hasn't held a sword in her lifetime, she feels powerful enough with her byline. Her creative energy is fueled by many things: the quiet right before the rest of the world wakes up, the orange sky as the sun rises during an uncrowded morning surf, the beautiful bitter taste of black coffee, and the threatening reminder of a pending deadline.
