Cheers to a whopping number of 20 holidays and 13 long weekends in the Philippines! Filipinos have all reasons to rejoice this 2015 as well! Feeling the vacation vibe? Plan your getaways now!

If you have been waiting for the perfect time to book your next trip, this could be it. Airfares in the Philippines are expected to go down this June 2025 as fuel surcharges are being reduced. This is great news whether you are flying around the country or heading abroad. A drop in surcharges usually means cheaper flights and better travel deals.

The Civil Aeronautics Board has announced that fuel surcharge rates for June will go down from Level 5 to Level 4. In simple terms, this is the lowest rate travellers have seen in over a year. Lower surcharges are expected to bring airfare prices down and encourage more people to travel during the summer season.

If you are planning to explore local destinations like Cebu, Bohol or Davao, this update will work in your favour. Fuel surcharges for domestic flights will now range from ₱117 to ₱342, compared to the previous ₱151 to ₱542. That might seem like a small change but for frequent flyers or group travellers, the savings can quickly add up.
Now is a great time to search for cheap domestic flights in the Philippines, especially if you are eyeing a quick summer break or weekend escape.

Travelling abroad will also be easier on your wallet. Fuel surcharges for international flights are going down too. The new range is ₱385.70 to ₱2,867.82, compared to the earlier ₱498.03 to ₱3,703.11. The exact rate still depends on your destination but overall, this is a big win for anyone planning to fly out of the country.
If you have been dreaming of a trip to Japan, South Korea, Singapore or any international hotspot, this might be the perfect moment to book.

Airlines are all in. Cebu Pacific President Xander Lao shared that the reduced surcharge will help more families and students travel during the break. He said it could boost demand, especially with more people eager to go on holiday.
AirAsia Philippines also sees this as a good move. Their spokesperson, Steve Dailisan, mentioned that with lower surcharges, travellers have more room to enjoy their trip. The money saved on airfare can go towards better accommodation, extra activities or even just a more relaxed journey.
Airlines still need to file an application with the Civil Aeronautics Board before collecting any surcharge. They must stick to the approved Level 4 rates. If you are paying in foreign currency, the exchange rate for calculating the surcharge is set at ₱55.45 per US dollar.

Fuel surcharges are at their lowest point in 15 months. If you have been thinking about booking a flight but waiting for a sign, this might be it. Whether you are planning a chill beach holiday, a food trip or a major adventure abroad, this is your chance to score better deals and save a little more.
Check your favourite airlines, look out for promos and get ready to fly. Cheaper flights mean more money for the experiences that matter most.
