International Flights Return to NAIA Terminal 3 Starting July

The ongoing community quarantine in Metro Manila undoubtedly shook operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). When it was imposed in the second half of March 2020, NAIA terminals shut down to commercial or passenger flights as the government banned non-essential travel.

By mid-May 2020, all but one terminal reopened to cater select air services. International flights were assigned exclusively to Terminals 1 and 2, while domestic flights were assigned to Terminal 3. But as the country faces the new normal in travel, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced the return of NAIA Terminal 3 international flights starting 8 Jul 2020.

  • All Nippon Airways
  • AirAsia Berhad

Meanwhile, flights by Cebu Pacific, Delta Air, Qantas Airways, and United Airlines continue to be suspended in NAIA’s largest terminal. All other airlines apart from those mentioned will continue to be served at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

On top of the returning NAIA Terminal 3 international flights, the facility will also remain open to domestic flights by Cebu Pacific, Cebgo, Philippines AirAsia, and Air Swift. The MIAA also reminds travellers to regularly check updates by respective airlines. Furthermore, NAIA’s new normal travel guidelines remain in full effect and will continue to be so until further notice.
