There are many other beautiful places in the Philippines outside its capital, but these 5 destinations will let you enjoy weekend trips with great ease.

Looking for cheaper flights for your next getaway? Philippine Airlines (PAL) has officially kicked off its Ultimate Seat Sale, giving travellers seven days to book discounted fares on selected domestic and international flights.
The PAL seat sale runs from 24 to 30 August 2026, so if you have been putting off booking your next trip, now is a good time to check the available deals.
The promotion also comes with additional perks and savings opportunities that travellers can watch out for during the sale period.

Sale period: 24 to 30 August 2026

International discounts: Up to 35% off for travel from 16 September 2026 to 31 January 2027, and up to 45% off for travel from 1 February 2027 onwards
Extra savings: Daily voucher codes from 24 to 30 August

The sale covers selected domestic and international routes operated by PAL, giving travellers options for both local getaways and overseas trips.
For domestic flights, the sale includes routes across PAL's Philippine network. International offers cover destinations across Asia, North America, Australia, the Middle East, and the Pacific.
The discount also depends on your travel date. For travel from 16 September 2026 to 31 January 2027, travellers can get up to 40% off domestic base fares and up to 35% off international base fares. For trips from 1 February 2027 onwards, the discounts increase to up to 60% for domestic base fares and up to 45% for international base fares.
Keep in mind that these are maximum discounts on base fares, so not every flight or travel date will necessarily have the highest discount. Promotional seats are also subject to availability.

Beyond discounted fares, PAL is offering daily voucher drops throughout the sale. A new promo code will be released each day from 24 to 30 August, which can be used on top of applicable seat sale fares. PAL will share the voucher mechanics and redemption details through its official social media channels.
For eligible domestic bookings, PAL also offers instalment payment options through participating credit card partners. This can be useful if you are booking several tickets or planning a bigger trip, but the available terms depend on the participating card and booking.
You can check and book available fares through PAL's official website and mobile app, as well as its hotline, ticketing offices, and accredited travel agents.
Before booking, check the travel dates, final fare, baggage allowance, flight schedule, and applicable fees. It is also worth comparing different dates if your schedule is flexible, as promotional fares can vary by route and availability.
The PAL Ultimate Seat Sale runs until 30 August 2026. If you find a fare that fits your budget and schedule, it may be worth booking early while promotional seats are still available.
