Yes, our islands are still killing it! Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao just got named among Asia’s top islands in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. Over 700,000 international readers voted, proving that our islands are not just beautiful, they are iconic.

Boracay placed 4th

Boracay led the Philippine squad with 90.54 points. Known for its iconic, powdery soft, white sands and buzzing nightlife, it captures tourists' hearts worldwide. The island proves it is still a top travel destination for sun, sea, and good vibes!

Palawan placed 5th

Palawan followed closely in fifth with 90.23 points. Its hidden lagoons, crystal-clear waters, and pristine beaches make it a favourite for travellers who love adventure and nature. Palawan is perfect for those who want a mix of relaxation and exploration.

Siargao placed 7th

Siargao grabbed seventh with 85.49 points. Surfing paradise and laid-back island life define this spot. From epic waves to chill cafés, Siargao offers a vibe that keeps travellers coming back.

Vietnam’s Phú Quốc topped the overall list with 95.51 points. Other top Asian islands include Langkawi, Koh Samui, Bali, Andaman Islands, Phuket, and Phi Phi Islands.

Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco said the awards “belong to our people, their craft, and the spirit of ‘Love the Philippines.’” She highlighted that local communities are the real heroes behind these islands’ magic and stressed the importance of sustainable tourism to keep them vibrant for generations.

These awards prove that the Philippines is a rich country but notoriously plundered. We are full of stunning, world-class islands and natural treasures that keep the world coming back. Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao show that our islands are not just destinations. They are proof that the Philippines remains one of Asia’s top island destinations.
