If visiting South Korea has been on your travel bucket list, there has never been a better time to start planning. From exploring the streets of Seoul to café hopping in Busan or visiting scenic spots in Nami Island, the country continues to attract Filipino travellers, and now it is even more accessible.
South Korea has extended its visa processing fee waiver for Filipino travellers applying under the C 3 2 short term group visa. This means eligible group travellers can apply for a visa without paying the usual processing fee.
The extension is valid until 30 June 2026, giving travellers more time to plan their trips. The policy was originally set to end earlier, but the extension encourages more group tourism from the Philippines.

The visa fee waiver applies specifically to short term group travel. To qualify:
Trips must be organised and guaranteed by accredited travel agencies
Travellers must be part of a group tour
The visa is for leisure purposes only and cannot be converted into a work visa, study visa, or any long term visa
This is ideal for those who prefer group travel for convenience, cost efficiency, or having all the details planned from flights to itineraries.

Visa fees may seem small, but when travelling as a family or with friends, they can add up quickly. Saving on the visa fee means more budget for experiences, food trips, shopping, or adventures in South Korea.
Group tours also make international travel easier, especially for first time travellers. The extension recognises this and makes South Korea more accessible for Filipinos who want a stress free travel experience.

Filipinos are not the only travellers who benefit from this policy. Visitors from China, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and Cambodia are also eligible for the waiver. This reflects South Korea’s efforts to attract more regional tourism.
Visa applications can be submitted at the Korean Visa Application Center in Manila. Many accredited travel agencies can also handle the application process on behalf of the group, making applying much easier and saving time.
With the visa fee waiver extended until mid 2026, travellers have the flexibility to choose the best season for their visit. Whether it is cherry blossom season, winter adventures, or a food focused trip, this is the perfect opportunity to explore South Korea with friends or family.
South Korea continues to be a favourite destination for Filipino travellers. With the visa fee waiver, planning your group trip has never been easier or more affordable.
