The Travel Sale Expo 2024 is set to take place from 27–29 Sep 2024 at SM Megamall, offering a fantastic opportunity to explore travel destinations across the Philippines and beyond. Attendees can expect an extensive lineup of exhibitors, including airlines, hotels, travel agencies, cruise lines, resorts, tour package providers, and more. Whether you’re planning a family getaway, a solo backpacking trip, or a luxury cruise, this expo has something for everyone. Visitors can also browse travel essentials like insurance, visa services, and other vacation must-haves. Plus, several embassies will be present to assist with travel advice and requirements.
TSE Chairperson Michelle Taylan highlighted the event’s broad appeal, stating, “Whether you’re looking for leisure or business, there’s so much to see, learn, and explore in the Philippines and beyond.” One of the highlights includes special performances from the Korean Cultural Office, tapping into Filipinos' growing love for Korean culture and destinations.
In addition to domestic travel offerings, countries from Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, and Brunei will showcase their tourist attractions, providing attendees with ideas for international travel. This variety allows visitors to compare and plan affordable trips, whether it’s within the Philippines or to neighbouring countries.
The event has strong backing from key organisations like the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), and the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA). PRA General Manager Bob Zozobrado announced a new partnership with TSE to promote the Philippines as a retirement haven for foreign senior citizens, further bolstering the country’s position as a prime travel and retirement destination.
Catherine Agustin from the DOT’s National Capital Region added that travellers today are willing to invest in comfort if they see value in the destinations they choose. The DOT, halfway to its 2024 target of 7.7 million international visitors, sees events like TSE as pivotal in attracting more tourists.
