A quiet Bataan beach turned into a crime scene after police seized 118 kilos of shabu worth ₱802M, abandoned near a lighthouse.
If you’ve been trying to secure an appointment for passport renewal or step two of the National ID application, you’ll know fairly well that it took months for slots to open up. Unfortunately, appointments scheduled in NCR during the ECQ period (6 to 20 Aug 2021) will be cancelled for the time being.
On 5 Aug 2021, the PSA Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) announced that all registration centres in NCR will be closed for the duration of ECQ. In a post on their official Facebook page, PhilSys asked all those affected by the temporary suspension to book new appointments via the official website.
Those with appointments in registration centres outside of NCR are asked to stay tuned for announcements in case of further cancellations. For more information, visit PhilSys’ official Facebook page.

Likewise, the Department of Foreign Affairs has also announced that only DFA Aseana will remain open from 6 to Aug 2021. As stated in their official Facebook page on 1 Aug 2021, only those with passport and authentication appointments will be accommodated. Needless to say, walk-ins will not be welcomed.
According to the DFA, all other DFA Consular Offices as well as satellite offices in NCR will be temporarily closed. For those whose schedules are affected by the temporary closure, the DFA will be sending new appointment schedules to the email addresses provided in their applications.
For more information, visit the DFA’s official Facebook page.

The temporary suspensions of these offices are in accordance with IATF guidelines.
