New normal measures also tell us that biking will be the archetypal way to get around the region even after the pandemic. That being said, it’s no wonder more people have started turning to bike shops in Manila to buy two-wheelers of their own.

2. Glorious Ride Bike Shop

Glorious Ride opened in 2010 and has since become a go-to bike shop in Quezon City. They have branches in Kamias and Fairview. Both offer a wide selection of bicycle brands and types, including mountain bikes, road bikes, and children’s pushbikes. Moreover, they sell bicycle parts, accessories from shoes and gloves to lights and locks, as well as bike cleaning and maintenance tools.

3. Cristy’s Bike Shop

This is a one-stop-shop to buy bicycle parts and accessories in Metro Manila. Beyond the typical bike options, Cristy’s also sells tandem or three-person bicycles for frontliners and essential workers; by structure, the latter comply with social distancing protocols, too. Their online reviews also recommend the shop for their extremely accommodating staff and reasonable pricing of bikes.

4. Litepro Cyclery

Bike units, pedals, rims, magnets, brakes — this bike shop in Metro Manila has them all, and much more. At the moment, walk-ins and pick-ups are prohibited in the Caloocan store. After finding the product you like, you can place your order via their Facebook page, pay through bank transfer, and wait for the delivery via Grab or Lalamove. For June, orders are being accepted for the FNHON Freedom 14″, which costs ₱24,800.

5. Ryanbikes

Ryanbikes has been a fixture in the local bicycle industry as a source for just about everything bike-related. The shop is largely known for their extensive product offerings, which are available both wholesale and retail. They also make and sell customised bicycle units. The shop has multiple branches in and outside Metro Manila, and they deliver anywhere in the country. 6. Velocity Pursuit

At their bike shop in Binondo, Velocity Pursuit offers relatively inexpensive bikes and bike parts from several brands, including Alied, Christopherous, Temptation, and VISP. If not from their store, their products are also available via Lazada at discounted prices from time to time.

One will find countless Metro Manila bike shops just by heading to the commercial district of Quiapo. But many of them have yet to reach Cycle Art’s level of acclaim in the area. According to their Facebook page, WheelWorks Bike Shop is the official dealer of “Specialized, Trek, Fox, Rockshox, SRAM, Bontrager, and other major cycling products.” Among their latest offerings are the Traction Gravel Grit 700c and Traction Gravel Roloo, both of which would be ideal choices for those biking to work in Metro Manila. Contrary to its name, Southside Bike Parts PH also sells complete bicycle units, specifically Polygon Bikes, which go as low as ₱26,800. By this, I mean ultra-sophisticated bicycle units from major brands like Cherubim, Festka, Moots, and Stelbel.
