Amid motions to decongest Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Clark Airport in Pampanga has been undergoing major developments to offer flights in the Philippines outside the country’s capital. With a newly completed Passenger Terminal Building, it would be able to accommodate more flights starting 2021. The airport even welcomed a new domestic airline, this time to cater charter Clark to Busuanga flights.
Sunlight Air, which launched in December 2020, has recently expanded its routes — and just a few weeks after its inaugural journey to Palawan via Manila. With it, Filipinos and other travellers can enjoy safer flights to one of the Philippines’ top tropical destinations, while making the most of the Luzon airport’s top-notch facilities.
Clark to Busuanga flights from 2021
Committed to offering uniquely seamless travel experiences in the time of pandemic and beyond, Sunlight Air opened its first-ever flight to Palawan via Clark Airport. Like those in Manila, its Clark to Busuanga flights also operate on a charter system, meaning — the flights are more exclusive and come with versatile itineraries.
Aboard a Sunlight Air flight to Busuanga, passengers can experience the boutique charter airline’s one-of-a-kind innovations. These include an in-flight entertainment system, an exclusive passenger lounge in Busuanga, and a Palawan travel bubble package that offers guilt-free getaways to Sunlight Eco Tourism Island Resort in Culion. From Clark, it only costs ₱31,000 per person good for four days.
As a passenger, you’ll also be entitled to discounted COVID-19 swab tests, in-flight social distancing courtesy of its maximum 70% loading capacity and strategic seating, enhanced sanitation procedures, and — especially relevant for budget travellers at this time — competitive prices that also come with flexible rebooking. For the travel package, you can check the inclusions here.
How to book and prepare for the flight
While Sunlight Air doesn’t have its own private check-in facility at Clark Airport at the moment, Sales and Marketing Manager Joana Garcia assures that they are considering the idea to further provide a safer environment for their passengers. “For Clark Airport, the check-in procedure will be like for a commercial flight… [but] we’ll make sure that your safety is our priority by doing all the procedures for COVID-19.”
To book flights, visit Sunlight Air’s website or email Asia Pacific Travel, Sunlight Air’s partner travel agency, via [email protected]. You can pay via bank transfer, 7-Eleven, LYKA gems, and credit card. Once your flight is confirmed, secure your Busuanga or Culion travel requirements. You can then make your way to Clark Airport via private car or P2P shuttle from Metro Manila.
Sunlight Air’s baggage allowance is 10 kilograms for checked luggage and 7 kilograms for hand-carry. Garcia also notes that both the Clark to Busuanga flights and travel bubble package cater to all kinds of travellers, including families with children and seniors, as well as those travelling on their own. Passengers can choose from a variety of accommodations that suit their needs at the partner resort in Palawan.
