Exploring jazz and blues can be difficult for denizens of Manila since gigs can be difficult to find. Fortunately, Jazzela Music Lounge is happy to hold for Manilenyo jazz patrons to enjoy their music while ushering in fresh pairs of ears for jazz music. Jazzela also hosts themed nights, such as movie soundtrack nights, and a handful of cultural performances on occasion.

Along with all the excellent music, Jazzela Music Lounge also offers delectable food. While bar chow is available, Jazzela also serves delicious meals like tomahawk steaks and baked salmon for truly sophisticated meals. Order a glass or two of their cocktails as well, as these ambrosial concoctions can be very refreshing after a sumptuous meal. Their brews are also easily enjoyed when a wicked piano or guitar solo turns up!

It’s only fitting that Jazzela Music Lounge opens in Malate, Manila’s famous and historic nightlife district. The music lounge is inside Angeo Building at Maria Orosa corner United Nations Ave. Long-time Manila residents may remember this place as the former McDonald’s UN Avenue. The bar is only a few blocks away from historic landmarks such as Luneta Park, Robinsons Place Ermita, UN LRT Station, and the National Museum Complex. Consider it as the perfect last stop after a day of walking around in Manila.
The bar operates from Monday to Saturday, 10am–2pm at noontime hours and 6pm–3am for evenings.
With this jazz bar taking over the iconic Manila spot, Jazzela looks to create its own legacy by introducing the magic and beauty of jazz and blues.
