Remember LalaJeep? Here’s What Happened to QC’s Jeepney Delivery Service

What exactly is LalaJeep?

LalaJeep was a short-lived delivery service launched in June 2020, a partnership between Lalamove and the Quezon City government. It used jeepneys as vehicles to carry goods instead of passengers, providing drivers with alternative income and residents with an affordable delivery option. Deliveries were limited to QC, could carry up to 600kg, and fees started at ₱200. Though it only ran for a couple of months, many locals still remember it fondly as a creative twist on traditional jeepneys.

History of LalaJeep

Launched in June 2020, LalaJeep was exclusive to Quezon City and could carry up to 600kg per trip. Drivers joined the program for a limited period, while residents could book deliveries right from the Lalamove app. The service was only available until mid-August 2020.

Although it had a strong start and received positive feedback from both drivers and customers, LalaJeep was never extended or reintroduced after its initial run. Today, the service is no longer available, but it remains a memorable example of how local initiatives tried to help communities adapt during the pandemic.
