Book Flights from Only ₱388 with PAL’s Mid-Year Sale

The Philippine Airlines Mid-Year Sale has just commenced, and it lets one fly from as low as ₱388 for one-way domestic flights and US$99 for round-trip international flights.

Announced over the weekend, the Philippine Airlines Mid-Year Sale is now available for booking during the entire week, for trips up to 2021. Domestic destinations include Boracay, Coron, Legazpi, and Siargao. Meanwhile, international destinations include Bangkok, Macau, Tokyo, and New York.

Is this a good deal?

Good for one person, the total prices shown above are inclusive of government taxes, fees, ticketing service charge, and surcharges.

In the sample flight, an Economy Supersaver Boracay flight also comes with a light snack and rebooking with a fee. The same fare class for the Macao flight has a hot meal and up to 25 kilograms of baggage allowance.

Only the Economy Flex fare for both routes has a distancing seat and free first rebooking option which, as shown in the screenshots, are considerably higher compared to the other classes. This practically puts the Economy Supersaver fares in vain when one takes the risks of travelling during the pandemic into consideration.

Nevertheless, the country’s flag carrier has assured passengers that the rest of their safety measures or new normal practises will be strictly implemented for all flights, regardless of the fare class. Among them are rigorous aircraft disinfection and social distancing procedures.
