When I first fell in love with the idea of visiting Siargao, it was because of all the beautiful sights. But when I finally made my way to the island paradise, it seemed that a four-day trip wasn’t enough to try out all the great restaurants in Siargao — let alone in General Luna. (We needed to save some stomach space to fit into our swimsuits, after all!)
Every now and then, I still find myself daydreaming about the amazing food and drinks I had on my trip — plus, all the delicious treats I didn’t get to try! While I’m certain that there are way more must-try restaurants in Siargao, here are 30 that you won’t want to miss out on!

The fun, barkada-friendly Bravo Resort is home to one of my favourite restaurants in Siargao. Here, they offer Spanish tapas, Asian dishes, fresh fruit shakes, and flavourful cocktails. It’s also a must for those who want to experience Siargao’s nightlife!
Don’t miss out on Bravo’s ₱70 (yup, you read that right! ₱70!) pomadas: fruity, sneaky cocktails that’ll get you buzzed in no time. Pair them with the patatas bravas, or chicken teriyaki skewers (or both)!

Not just one of Siargao’s most popular resorts, Harana Surf is also one of the the island’s top go-to spots for experiencing the local nightlife. On top of that, it’s also home to a well-loved Filipino fusion restaurant.
Come by for a traditional Pinoy breakfast, a delicious rice bowl, or their mouthwatering Harana halo-halo! The restaurant’s chill vibe is so inviting, we won’t be surprised if you find yourselves kicking back in Harana from breakfast till it’s time to party!

Coffeeholics, make sure to add Fili Beans to your list of places to go when visiting Siargao! Located on Harana Surf’s property (just a few steps from the restaurant), this charming coffee bar claims to offer the best coffee on the island — and customers agree.
Whether or not you’re a coffee drinker, you’ll certainly find something to your liking at Fili Beans. Their menu also includes teas, matcha lattes, and tasty snacks (their freshly baked brownies are to die for!). If you happen to come by during cocktail hours, don’t miss out on their famous espresso martinis!

This cosy coffee shop owned by Filipina beauty queen Rachel Peters isn’t simply Instagrammable. More than just its straight-out-of-Pinterest interiors, the coffee and freshly baked pastries are very much worth your visit.
I highly recommend their flat white and pain au chocolat! They offer fresh fruit smoothies and post-surf meal-worthy menu items, too!

For a tasty and affordable meal, Mama’s Grill offers a local dining experience you can’t miss out on! Expect to fall in line if you come at peak hours, because this joint is definitely one of the most popular restaurants in Siargao.
At Mama’s Grill, you’ll certainly be getting what you pay for (if not more!). They offer a wide selection of meat and seafood, which are grilled upon ordering. Their inihaw dishes and pulutan are best paired with ice-cold beers!

Whether or not you’ve been to Siargao, you’ve probably already heard of Kermit. They’re known to serve some of the best pizza on the island — and since they opened a branch in Poblacion, maybe even in Manila, too!
Besides their mouthwatering pizzas (prosciutto is a personal favourite), they also offer delicious pasta, fresh fruit shakes (avocado included!), and signature cocktails. It’s definitely one of those restaurants in Siargao you’ll keep coming back to!

Here’s an insider tip: Isla Cabana has one of the most stunning beach fronts in General Luna. The resort has a private slice of the beach, and it makes for a great view while dining at their restaurant, especially at night!
Their offerings consist of a mix of Asian and Western cuisines; crowd favourite menu items include gambas al aljillo, coco crab, seafood marinara, and Australian grilled rib-eye steak. Pair your meals with a refreshing buko juice, a cup of coffee, or a cocktail!

On a romantic getaway? With stunning views of the lagoon, Kalinaw is a great pick for intimate dinners.
The ambient restaurant offers a mix of Filipino and Italian cuisine, as well as a wide selection of wine. Their thin crust pizzas, cooked in wood-fire ovens, are said to be some of the best on the island! Their best-selling menu items also include their truffle pasta, mango mahi-mahi, and fish kinilaw.

Sugba is a must, especially if you love a good grilled meal! Make sure to come with an empty stomach, because it’s pretty easy to get carried away and order a lot off their menu.
This laid-back restaurant is a great pick for a filling post-surf meal, or for satisfying inihaw cravings. My friends and I particularly enjoyed their chicken inasal, grilled liempo, and inihaw na hotdog. Plus, garlic rice and a cold bottle of Coke to complete our dining experience!

For the best tacos on the island (and at wallet-friendly prices!), make sure to come to Miguel’s Taqueria! This hip Mexican dive bar is a cool place to kick back with your barkada over delicious bites and ice-cold beers. Their beef burritos, chicken quesadillas, and fish tacos are crowd favourites!
A cool fact about Miguel’s Taqueria: They make everything from scratch, from their homemade salsa and chipotle sauce, all the way down to their tortillas!

Drop by Cafe Loka for a cup of coffee, or take your pick of their selection of teas. It opens as early as 6am, making it an ideal breakfast spot for early risers!
This beachside cafe is also the perfect place to grab a refreshing fruit shake after a surfing lesson, or before walking along Cloud Nine’s famous boardwalk. And if you love making new furry friends, they also have cute dogs on-site!

One of Siargao’s most iconic establishments, Shaka is best known for their Instagram-famous smoothie bowls. They also offer fresh fruit shakes and delicious coffee, making it a great spot for breakfast or a healthy midday treat.
Enjoy the relaxed vibe at this open-air cafe while taking in views of Cloud Nine, the island’s most famous surfing spot. Just prepare for a bit of a wait to get a table — Shaka is one of the most popular places in Siargao, after all!

Come to Warung for a little something different! Serving authentic Indonesian flavours, Siargao Island Villas’ restaurant has gorgeous interiors and a mouthwatering selection of menu items.
Enjoy dishes like nasi goreng, chicken satay, and beef rendang — whatever you choose, Warung’s offerings are certainly at par with those served in their country of origin! Its relaxed ambience makes it perfect for intimate meals with your family, friends, or significant other!

This street side dessert cafe is a nice place to chill out with friends — just take note that they have limited seating, so you’re likely to wait! Not to worry, though — their offerings are certainly worth it.
Their fruit bowls and banana bread receive rave reviews, along with their sweet crepes, which are served with coconut ice cream on the side. If you’re not into sweets, their savoury crepes are also among their crowd favourite menu items!

Located at Kawayan Siargao Resort, this French-inspired bakery offers some of the best pastries on the island. Their freshly baked croissants, in particular, are a must-try! They also offer delectable macarons, eclairs, and French baguettes. Come by for dessert, and enjoy your homemade pastries with a cup of coffee!

If you ask me, one can never go wrong with authentic chicken inasal — and Azuete offers that, and more. It’s one of those restaurants in Siargao that have everything you’re usually looking for in a place to eat: great food made with high-quality ingredients, reasonable prices, and a friendly staff that will perfect your dining experience. Not to mention, the rustic interiors and relaxed ambience add to this joint’s chill island vibe, too.
Must-try items include the chicken inasal (how could you not order their speciality?), pork BBQ, veggie skewers, and eggplant salad — with unli rice, of course! Trust us, you’ll want to come back for more.

On the hunt for vegan and vegetarian-friendly restaurants in Siargao? White Banana Beach Club isn’t just a cool beachfront to hang out with your friends over cocktails — it actually offers an extensive pescatarian menu, with both vegan and vegetarian dishes. While you might notice menu items like chicken adobo, BBQ skewers, and sliced franks, you’ll be surprised to find that this restaurant only serves imitation meat. And just so you know, if we didn’t tell you, you wouldn’t even notice!
Besides the dishes I’ve just mentioned, their fluffy pancakes will probably make for one of your favourite breakfasts around the island. Their hummus treats (with three dips: porcini, bell paper, and olives with truffle oil), kombucha cocktails, and white banana shake can’t be missed out on, either.

Guilt-free desserts, anyone? Buonana’s vegan ice cream (or as they call them, nice cream) bowls offer the perfect way to beat the Siargao heat! Take your pick from their soft-serve ice cream, açaí bowls, and Buonana pops — frozen bananas dipped in various flavours that include chocolate, matcha, and strawberry.
The carob (a healthier alternative for chocolate) ice cream, in particular, is a crowd favourite. What’s more, once you’ve chosen your base, you can even enjoy your choice of toppings: fresh fruits, granola, chia seeds, and more. Delicious and nutritious, indeed!

There’s nothing quite like a home-cooked meal, don’t you think? True to its name, Homemade Taste aims to treat you to mouth-watering dishes that will instantly remind you of your mom’s (or dad’s) home cooking. Plus, if you happen to be on the hunt for vegan or vegetarian restaurants in Siargao, this is definitely one of your best options. They actually have two separate kitchens: one for preparing meat dishes, and another for vegan and vegetarian meals.
With scrumptious menu offerings (their veggie burger and veggie mango curry come highly recommended) and a super chill atmosphere, this will undoubtedly be one of your favourite restaurants on the island. And when you do swing by, try to grab the best spots in the house — the floor seats!

At first, I found the idea of a ramen restaurant in Siargao completely random. But at the same time, the fact that ramen and the beach are such an unlikely combo is exactly what makes the concept so ingenious. After all, Japanese food cravings can strike at any time whatsoever, regardless of where you happen to be.
Made with authentic Japanese ingredients, their recommended offerings include their chicken teriyaki bowl (served with your choice of poached or fried egg), vegan-friendly spicy miso ramen, omurice, and pork tonkatsu. And don’t miss out on their okonomi fries either — the best pulutan to go with your beers, or shots of sake! Beach Ramen’s sake also happens to come in various flavours: lychee, apple, cranberry, passion fruit, and pink guava. Kanpai!

Have you been on the lookout for 24-hour restaurants in Siargao? Open 24/7, HabHab is an excellent choice for a late night (or early morning) recovery meal after enjoying the best of the island’s nightlife! Beat the hangover blues with their sisig, said to be the best in all of Siargao. To add to that, be sure to treat yourselves to their all-day silogs!
But wait — there’s so much more to HabHab than just hangover cures and comfort food. They also offer delicious sikwate (local hot chocolate) that’ll instantly perfect any breakfast meal, or keep you warm on a gloomy day. You won’t want to go home without trying their banana Nutella waffle, either!

Tucked in a quiet part of General Luna, Wild serves unique, delicious dishes that are always beautifully presented. Made with top-notch ingredients, their melt-in-your-mouth miso grilled beef tenderloin is a definite must-try. Their rolled lasagnettas are not to be missed either; the turmeric noodles are homemade and filled with ricotta and spinach, then baked and served in a bed of tomato sauce — yum!
On top of the amazing food, the restaurant’s ambient setting makes it perfect for romantic dinners or intimate get-togethers with friends. No matter who you’re dining with, you’ll want to finish with their delectable bibingka cheesecake — topped with cardamom cream and shaved parmesan cheese, it’ll make for the perfect sweet ending! (Our tummies grumbled, too.) A walk on the Wild side sounds pretty tempting right about now, don’t you agree?

Found at one of the island’s best-known resorts, Buddha Siargao serves authentic Thai cuisine, as well as vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes. Best of all, it’s probably one of the only restaurants in Siargao that offer milk tea — something you addicts will want to take note of!
All of Buddha Siargao’s menu items are prepared by local cooks who were trained by a Thai chef. So, you can expect to be pleased with their take on your usual Thai favourites: pad thai, spring rolls, satay, and tom yum. Their spicy gaeng ped (red curry chicken) and mango-pandan sticky rice are crowd favourites as well!

If you’re not big on crowded places, it’d be easy for you to overlook La Carinderia. As it’s one of the busiest restaurants in Siargao, you just might quickly walk past it on your search for a more peaceful lunch or dinner spot. But this humble Filipino-Italian restaurant is not one to be missed — so make it a point to slow down when you see the crowds!
As its name clearly suggests, this restaurant aims to be the opposite of pretentious; it’s a laid-back, open-air joint that hopes to make guests feel at home. La Carinderia serves Italian dishes with a Filipino twist, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy every bite — their best-selling pastas are always served fresh and handmade daily. Their gnocchi and tiramisu are pretty great, too!

Those who love beach clubs and relaxing by the pool with a drink will especially enjoy Lamari. Come for their international cuisine, cocktails, chill vibes, and great music — we hear they’re always playing the best jams, thanks to their resident DJ!
To complement your choice of refreshing drinks, we recommend their pan-seared mahi-mahi with pumpkin chorizo risotto, or their Angus beef burger — made with caramelised onions, Emmental cheese, and homemade brioche sesame buns.

Authentic Neapolitan pizza and fluffy pancakes? If any of those two sound appetising to you, then be sure to add Bulan Villas to your list of must-try restaurants in Siargao! Their delicious wood-fired pizzas, prepared with only the freshest ingredients, make this joint a worthy contender for where to find the best pizza on the island. You’ll definitely find yourselves craving for their best-selling tartufata pizza once you’re back home — consider yourselves forewarned!
Stop by for breakfast, and treat your palette to their fluffy pancakes, available in both sweet and savoury varieties. Enjoy yours with mozzarella and ham, or chocolate fondue and homemade strawberry jam. Have a sweet tooth? Then don’t miss out on their creamy panna cotta, homemade fresh daily and topped with your choice of mango, strawberry, or chocolate!

Head to Greenhouse Café for a satisfying yet sinless meal. This restaurant serves market-fresh, organic meals in a cosy nipa hut setting — which sounds like island life at its finest, if you ask us! Some of their most delicious offerings are best enjoyed for breakfast, so make sure to start at least one of your Siargao mornings at this underrated café.
Have your pick of fresh fruits, homemade banana bread, or their Why Not Coconut (brown rice porridge in coconut milk topped with fruits); and don’t forget to complete your breakfast with an order of Greenhouse’s coconut cold brew!
Other best-selling dishes include their Barrel City 2.0 (cheesy garlic bread topped with bacon, tomatoes, and egg) and Same Same But Different (French baguette stuffed with eggs, bacon, cheese, tomatoes, and homemade garlic aioli). Their tacos are a must-try as well — we especially recommend the fish tacos.

With an unquestionably unique concept (they mainly offer a variety of ceviche and kinilaw), CEV is easily one of the best-loved restaurants in Siargao. As tasty as they look, CEV’s ceviche and kinilaw bowls offer an explosion of flavour that you’ll certainly find yourself coming back for.
Don’t leave without trying their best-sellers: the Pacifico (the catch of the day, prepared with calamansi juice, coconut milk, ginger, and boiled sweet potato) and the General Luna (made with sweet calamansi, ginger, and spiced mango, and roasted eggplant)!

Open almost 24/7, Barrel is another one of those restaurants in Siargao you’ll want to keep in mind after a night of partying. What’s more, this laid-back sports bar is just the place you’ll want to be if your trip happens to coincide with any unmissable FIFA games, UFC matches, or Formula 1 races.
Most of all, you’ll want to come to Barrel for their best-selling Jack Daniels burger — a juicy burst of flavour made with a generous amount of cheese and their homemade Jack Daniel’s sauce. Their grilled chicken, which is best paired with their Famous Barrel Garlic Rice, is worth trying, too. To add to all that, Barrel also doubles as a hookah lounge and has a pool table for guests to enjoy — definitely the perfect spot for a barkada hangout!

If your likes include all-day breakfasts, tasty Asian dishes, scrumptious desserts, live entertainment, and cosy yet Instagrammable interiors, then dropping by Kitya’s Place is a must when in Siargao. At the same time, eco-warriors will love this eclectic restaurant, as it’s known to have been built with upcycled materials and for promoting responsible, sustainable tourism.
Must-try menu items include their braised pork belly and kimchi, Japanese ramen bowls, hummus plate with pita bread, and lemon garlic chicken skewers. You can’t miss out on their homemade ice cream, either. Lastly, don’t forget to mark your calendars — Kitya’s Place holds boodle feasts every Wednesday, serves Ramen every Sunday, and features local DJs every Sunday!
