Incredible news for budget travellers: Royal Air Philippines is launching five new Philippine flights from Cebu starting May 2019!
The new destinations are Manila, Davao, Puerto Princesa, Cagayan de Oro and Caticlan. All flights will make use of 97-seater Avro RJ100 aircraft. This is part of Royal Air Philippines’ expansion plans and to better serve passengers travelling around Central and Southern Philippines.
Furthermore, the addition of Royal Air Philippines as the new airline partner of GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation (GMCAC) will help accommodate the increasing passenger traffic at Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Currently, the country’s first resort airport has a total of 25 operating airlines servicing both domestic and international flights, Royal Air included.

Aside from year-round low airfare, passengers of Royal Air Philippines’ domestic flights can enjoy complimentary snacks and a 10 kg baggage allowance. The airline also has an ongoing partnership with Sapphire, an in-flight entertainment provider from Singapore, for better passenger experience.
The 17-year-old Philippine-based airline is also expecting an Airbus A319 for upcoming international flights to destinations like Hong Kong and Singapore. It will be followed by at least four more Airbus aircraft by 2020.
Royal Air Philippines was founded in August 2002. However, it was only in 2017 when the airline started commercial flights. As a younger company, the airline continues to earn most of its revenue from its charter flights.
