There is an abundance of adventure in Negros Oriental that will definitely catch the eye of nature lovers. Beaches, sandbars, mountains, caves, and rivers are just some of the region’s geographical gifts for the tenacious explorer. But if time is too short, the thrills in Santabucks Eco Adventure Park will keep anyone awake, maybe far more than the coffee it pays homage to! (Yes, it’s named after the coffee chain.)

Located in the coastal town of Sta. Catalina, this park has a lot of attractions and rides for both casual and extreme thrillseekers. Besides being a thrilling weekend getaway, Santabucks Eco Adventure Park is also a thriving green lung in Negros Oriental. More than just roller coasters and Ferris wheels, Santabucks Eco Adventure Park improvises with the gifts that nature provided them.
Rather than steel tracks and chains, this nature park uses palwas and duyans for their high-speed rides. Speaking of palwa, one of the park’s best attractions is the Palwa Ride, or makeshift bamboo sleds on palm tracks, secured by strong ropes. And trust us: Even those words can’t describe how ingenious and creative the ride is in person!
Among many other rides in Santabucks are three suspended giant swings, the Elevated Love Nest, a Spider Web, and Noah’s Ark.

While this showcase of Filipino ingenuity doesn’t come for free, it won’t really cost you much. For only ₱100, guests can enter the park from 10am to 5pm daily. And for all their popularity in social media today, you can get on the regular Palwa Ride and the Giant Spider Web for free with your ticket. Plus, other rides like the Extreme Palwa Ride and Giant Swing only cost ₱50 for admission!
When the fun and adrenaline stops, the eco-park turns into Santabucks Grille, which opens at 5pm and operates until 11pm daily. Colourful lights illuminate the eco-park, making for atmospheric al fresco dinners. It’s a nice place to unwind after screaming from dizzying heights, that’s for sure!
