Celebrating the 10th year since the opening of its Manila Office, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), together with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center (KCC), is having the two-day event entitled 2022 Korean Festival at the Glorietta Activity Center and Palm Drive Activity Center, Makati City on 10–11 Sep 2022

What to expect from the 2022 Korean Festival

Hanbok

The 2022 Korean Festival is expected to showcase the past and present Korean culture. It also aims to increase the interest of Filipinos in experiencing Korea through a grand Korean travel fair. This is the first time that the Embassy, KTO and KCC will be celebrating Chuseok (Korean thanksgiving) together.

Presenting a collaboration of all-things Korean, the Embassy, KTO and KCC invite all Korean culture and tourism lovers to visit and enjoy the activities prepared during the two-day event. Highlighting Korea’s rich tradition, history, and culture, the 2022 Korean Festival offers activities including:

  • Wearing hanbok (traditional Korean clothing)
  • Playing traditional Korean games (ddakji, dalgona candy, and jegichagi)
  • Learning hangeul (Korean calligraphy)

Since it is also Chuseok in Korea, attendees will also have the opportunity to make and taste songpyeon (half-moon-shaped rice cake). In Korea, having songpyeon is a must during Chuseok season.
