Batangas Travel Requirements for Domestic Travellers

At the time of writing, all towns in Batangas, except Tingloy, are under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) Alert Level 2. The province, along with its neighbouring regions, is expected to remain in this status until 28 Feb 2022.

Who can travel to Batangas?

Under its alert status, travellers of all ages from areas under Alert Levels 1, 2, 3, GCQ, and MGCQ are allowed to enter Batangas (except Tingloy). However, each local government unit may have specific entry restrictions and guidelines for minors and seniors. Pregnant women and persons with comorbidities may not enter Lobo, Mabini, and San Juan.

While Batangas is now mostly open for tourism, the province continues to adhere to health and safety protocols. Here are the Batangas travel protocols and guidelines you must remember while it is under Alert Level 2.

  • Wearing face masks and regular handwashing are expected.
  • Establishments, including restaurants and tourist attractions (e.g. libraries, museums, public gardens, amusement parks, and scenic viewpoints), may operate up to their 50% indoor and 70% outdoor venue capacity. 
  • Only fully vaccinated individuals and minors (regardless of vaccination status) may enter indoor premises.
  • Only accredited diving establishments are allowed to operate at 50% capacity. Advanced reservation and a negative COVID-19 test result may be required.
  • Public utility vehicles may require S-PaSS from passengers.

Domestic tourists must prepare the following requirements. These will have to be presented by passengers upon arrival in the province.

For tourists who are not fully vaccinated

*If travelling with minors, you must present their medical certificate issued within three days prior to arrival.
